Harold Barling Town graduated from the Ontario College of Art in 1945 then worked as a commercial graphic artist. Harold Town worked in many mediums successfully including: collage, painting, printmaking and sculpture. He is best known for his fine abstract expressionist paintings of the 1950s, the "single autographic prints" of the late 1950s and early 1960s, and his snap paintings of the 1970s.
